GRKCC would like to congratulate Stuart Bates and Shane Schutz on their recent completion of the 2013 Australasian Safari, in his 2000 Mitsubishi Pajero.
Stuart has been a member of GRKCC for some years, competing in the Condo 750 and Safari yearly, and hopefully he will enter one of our small events soon.
Of the 21 Auto entries in this year’s safari, he and his first time navigator Shane Schutz, finished a very credible 8th. Obviously the Off Road fraternity likes to keep close to each other, as fellow competitors Reg Owen/Russell Cairns finished 6th, and Bruce Garland/Harry Suzuki finished 9th.
Some of you may know John Maragozidis, aka Angle Vale, who has competed in the Finke Desert Race numerous times on a quad. He also competed in this years Safari, and finished 2nd in the Quad section. Well done.
