2013 Denise Gosden Memorial Ladies & Juniors event

Denise Gosden Memorial Ladies & Juniors race on the 19th & 20th October, to be held at the Port Germein track. Many thanks to SGORRA for allowing us to use their relatively new track, and doing all the ground work.
We are hoping to get at least 10 to 12 entries.
In the Ladies section we have been informed that Annie Galliford, last year’s first lady home, will be racing again, and the all girl crew of the very competitive sisters Leanne Walker and Tanya Wales, will be in Eric Schmid’s #120 buggy. Grant Madden, Curtis Randall, Nicky Cousins and Matthew Curtis, have been junior contenders at this race since they were only just 14 and will be back again. Naiomi Vander Woude is going to take on the challenge in John Schultz’s #455 truck. There are a few other contenders, but until I have their names on paper, I don’t want to divulge them.

It is with extreme pleasure, and excitement, that I would like to announce that River Murray Auto Wreckers are sponsoring the junior who completes all laps in the most consistent time, with $250 and a trophy. We thank them so much, as this has really given the juniors something to strive for.
Christine Frank, who has been both competitor and navigator in the event, and has won the All Girl Crew twice, is sponsoring the O/R trophies. Thanks Christine.

Hopefully all clubs will support this race, as we need help with officials, and lots of recovery.

See you there on the 19th.

Meg Gosden
